Health Tips | Boosting Your Immune System
Boost your Immune System
The immune system
has a vital role. The immune system is the body's defense against
infectious organisms and other invaders. The main parts of the immune system
are: white blood cells, antibodies, the complement system, the lymphatic
system, the spleen, the thymus, and the bone marrow. These are the parts of
your immune system that actively fight infection.
The immune system
can be activated by a lot of different things that the body doesn’t recognize
as its own. Including common everyday physical or emotional
stress. Secondary bacterial infections are possible during colds of viral
origin since the immune system can be compromised by certain viruses. Much
worse, a dysfunctional immune system could recognize “self” cells as foreign
cells and initiate an attack. This would result in an autoimmune disease.
Autoimmune diseases, sometimes called inflammatory diseases, are also caused by
an overactive immune system that is out-of-balance.
📍Digestive issues, including loss of appetite, diarrhea, and abdominal cramping.
An Immune Body Is Happy Body
It’s vital
that your immune system is in good working order if you want to stay as
protected as possible and care should be taken to ensure it stays in balance.
There are several ways you can do this:
📍Replacing bad health
habits with good ones can help keep your immune system healthy.
📍A diet rich in antioxidant vitamins, on the other hand, can boost resistance to infection. Think about eating in color: dark green, red, yellow, and orange fruits and veggies are packed with antioxidants. Try berries, citrus fruits, kiwi, apples, red grapes, kale, onions, spinach, sweet potatoes, and carrots.
📍Find healthy and appropriate ways to cope with stress, such as meditation, listening to music or writing.
📍Physical activity also is a great way to help manage stress and may help reduce the risk of some chronic diseases that could weaken your immune system further.
📍Lack of sleep contributes to a variety of health concerns, such as a weakened immune system. Sleep is an important aspect of health. Our bodies need sleep to recharge and heal.
Boosting your immune system is a preventative measure and can reduce the overall need to mend your health and wellness after the onset of sickness.
An immune body is a happy body!
